August, Me, Myself and I
A woman, alone in a swimming pool, drinking a glass of champagne and looking at the sky: this illustration is to remind to take some time for yourself. We need these moment to recharge and stay true to who we are. It’s important for well-being, both physical and mental.
Wherever it is at work, during your social like or in your family, other people can drain us and it can be very exhausted to be surrounded. Investing too much time for over people put ourselves aside. But when we take the time to think about ourselves our relationships with others can only improve.
Taking time for ourselves allows us to clear your mind and let go of anything that might be causing us stress. Spending time alone will allow us to see more clearly and to truly be ourselves. We tend to want to hide our emotions when we are surrounded, and this can put a bit of pressure since we act unnaturally, because we are not ourselves. So it is very important to remember to isolate ourselves to clear our mind and refocus on who we really are.
Spending time alone is also a good way to make decisions. When we are surrounded by people, we tend – even if we don’t feel it – to be somewhat influenced by the decisions and opinions of others. Taking time to think will allow us to think about what we really want and what is best for us. And this is what will allow us to identify our problems and especially to solve them.
This is the opportunity to learn more about us and understand who we really are. To force ourselves to listen to our own desires and needs. To no longer wait for other people’s approval to do what we want. Spending time alone is also a way of pushing ourselves out of your comfort zone and doing things that scare us, or don’t dare. This is an opportunity to take the plunge and realize that we can do it.
